Short stories and paradoxes

As someone who has never been interested in writing, if given the option I’d rather not write a short story at all. I have never seen myself as the creative type and that means I have always wanted to not do things that involved writing be it poems, stories, drama etc.

Now, if I didn’t have an option, I would probably write something involved both sci-fi and mystery. I love the idea of paradoxes so I would definitely try to have my story revolve around one. If not, I would like for it to be at least be a part of it. Because how important paradoxes are to me, the era that my story will be set or the kind of characters that will be part of this story will completely depend on the story.

For example, SPOILERS, the movie predestination had the everyone playing the same character because of how central that was to the story.
